Microsoft Office 365 advanced is a cloud-based service that is designed to help meet your organization’s needs for robust security, reliability, and user productivity. Office 365 includes several productivity applications that are designed to cover collaboration needs at the organizational, departmental and team levels. It is a subscription service that provides users with the basic productivity applications necessary to get work done in the modern enterprise. Productivity applications include, but are not limited to, a word processor, a spreadsheet, an email client, a calendar, and a presentation application. Office 365 provides the tools necessary to bring collaboration and communication by extension, productivity to everyone in an enterprise.
Why this course
Office 365 is a line of subscription services offered by Microsoft as part of the Microsoft Office product line. The brand encompasses plans that allow use of the Microsoft Office software suite over the life of the subscription, as well as cloud-based software as a service products for business environments, such as hosted Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, and SharePoint.
Universal Software
Microsoft Office is now compatible with mobile after they recently developed Office Mobile, which offers free-to-use versions of Office applications for mobile devices. Microsoft also runs Office Online, a web-based version of core Office apps, which are included as part of a Microsoft account.
For years, Office has been compatible with Apple’s MacOS, a move which at the time was questionable due to the rivalry between Apple and Microsoft, but one that has proven to be a good one for both tech giants.

Office 365 was developed so Microsoft could embrace cloud technology while still offering their existing services. You can access it from anywhere as long as you have an Office 365 login (for example, the company you work for), then your subscription will allow you to access Microsoft Office applications on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Windows 10 Mobile

To put that in context, that’s nearly 20% of the world’s population use Microsoft Office 365. That many people can’t be wrong. Recent statistics has shown that the percentage of enterprises with at least 100 users increased from 87% to 91%, and usage within enterprises grew over 320%.
